Lake Nam-tso
Namtso Lake: Namtso is one of the renowned holy lakes in Tibet commonly known as Sky Lake. The lake is located on the northern side of Lhasa. Tibet has over 1500 lakes and it is the second largest saltwater lake in all of china and Tibet, only kokonor in Amdo is bigger. The lake is situated on 4718m above sea level, is 70 km long, and 30 km wide. Here pilgrims visit the lake regularly but hardly few do the circumambulation of the lake. It takes 18 days to do one full ritual khora. The southeastern end of Namtso is easily accessible from Lhasa.
