Welcome to The Trekkers’ Society, a company established to provide you with a reliable and affordable service that you can depend upon. Over the years we have gained valuable knowledge in organizing and tailoring tours to the majority of regions in Nepal and Tibet. We also have and maintain well established networks in the Kingdom of Bhutan and the areas of Sikkim and Darjeeling in India. The focus of our tours is participation and our formula is a simple one…… We believe the more personal investment the more valuable the experience, be that on a high pass in the Nepal Himalaya or at a Monastery in Kathmandu. Jitendra Basnet (Jeet) has more than 15 years experience in the trekking and tour business throughout the region. Before becoming the founder of “The Trekkers’ Society”, he worked with a large organization in Kathmandu for 6 years eventually holding down the responsibility of “Tour Organizer” handling many groups from all over the world.

Prachanda Manandhar
Designation: Tour Manager

Mr. Prachanda Manandhar has been involved in the hospitality industry since 2003. In and from his initial capacity as a Tour Officer to this stage as Tour Manager, has been able to effectively and smoothly manage the customized tours and adventure activities in Nepal, Tibet & Bhutan for thousands of clients, to their gratification. He also has a working experience of the Hotel & Resorts trade in Nepal having served as a Sales Executive and proven duly himself in this sector of the Hospitality industry.

His holistic and creative approach to all the different duties in the Hospitality trade has earned himself a good reputation, which is commendable, for someone as young as himself.

Shae Frydenlund
Field Guide, Customer Outreach and Website Development

Shae has been a free spirit since she could walk, but when she first traveled to Nepal in 2008, she knew she had found what she had been chasing for for the majority of her young life. By the time her semester abroad program ended, she had not only fallen in love with the country and its people, but had found several jobs as a freelance writer and guide. She began working with the Trekker’s Society in October 2010, and is enthusiastic about growing and developing the company with Jitendra.

Shae grew up in Colorado and is a skilled ski mountaineer, rock climber and ice climber. She has worked as a climbing instructor, english teacher, as well as construction worker, videographer and photographer in the US and abroad. Shae is defined by her deep passion for outdoor education, art and the environment, among many other things.

Mrs. Kopila Basnet, the finance director, involve in this tourism from its own establishment. She is well capable of organizing the financial affairs of the company in efficient manner. She is careful to support and maintain the financial situations of the company strengthen. She also looks after operation and support to the account.

Mr. Ek Narayan Bhattarai, is an accountant. He manages accounting system very well in the company and furnishes the account transaction in proper order effectively. He has many years of experience and engages in this field working alongside in reputed 3 stars Hotel as well.

R.K Gurung was born on 1984 A.D in Gorkha district of Nepal. He is being already succeeds introducing himself as a well artist in music world. And he further attributed his introduction through contributing in tourism industry as well joining “The Trekkers’ Society” since 2006. Mr. Gurung is a sincere, creative and polite mankind gaining experience in related fields yearly making himself capable and qualified person. He handles corresponding, manage the tour programs meeting as per client’s requirements and also lead the tour himself professionally. His proficient arrangements were appreciated and rewarded by clients from different countries. His passion and devotion justify itself the ideal “Tour Executive” in this hospitality within short span of time.

Rabi Panday

Mr. Rabi Panday designated as a senior tour officer of our company, engaged from 2007 A.D. He is hard working, skillful and sincere person with learning intention of all related works in official management. He co-ordinates administrations & tour management assisting for the efficient operation and familiar with all level of employees. He has very good connection with Chinese counterpart in Embassy to sort out visa matter of our Tibet groups. Similarly, he efficiently fulfills the responsibility in managing hotel booking, flight ticketing, transportation & banking. His proficiency and friendliness assist himself to recognize in this hospitality. Besides tourism industry, he is also keen to introduce in the public, messaging awareness through journalism.

Ms Sunita… ……

Mr. Namgel Sherpa, 37 years, is our one of the best experience guide cum cook. He has started his career in this tourism industry as a porter from 1988 and now become capable himself handling trek groups efficiently as a trek guide. He joined us since our establishment in 2001 and engaging regularly. We appreciate him as a sincere, hardworking, faithful and proficient as thus rewarded him by numerous clients whoever he handled. He is from Sherpa community, of Sankhuwasabha – the eastern Nepal, that proves himself as the man of the Himalaya to make your journey safe and memorable. He has also trained and experience in climbing popular peaks like Mera Peak, Singuchuli, Tent Peak. He has also years of experience in cooking and serving delicious home taste food to all clients in such alpine high elevation.

Mr. Dendi Sherpa, 33 years, is also our another outstanding trekking and climbing guide. He has also started his career from his early age at 19 years as a porter. His struggle, loyalty and honest behavior acknowledge him as one of proficient guide today. He is even recognized by NATHM (Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management) for his training on trekking guide and climbing guide. He also cooks very well. He has several years of experience in most of all trekking regions and summit many popular peaks appreciating best regards from all guests.

Mr. Nabaraj Adhikari, 25 years, engage in our company as office assistant and also involve in trekking group as porter and kitchen helpers. He is involved in this hospitality since 2005 and gaining knowledge to build up him in stable position. He is very polite, sincere, devoted, diligent and helpful to all. He fulfills his duties and responsibility effectively. He supports in the office and in the field very well.
